Mary Alvarez-Salese

Mary Alvarez-Salese a long time Tucson resident, joined loved ones in Heaven on July 11, 2015 at 5:15 a.m., following a long struggle with Parkinson's disease. Mary was the second child of four, for Jesus and Anita (Valle) Alvarez. Mary attended Pueblo High School, and was also a graduate of the University of Arizona; first completing her Bachelor's Degree, followed by earning a Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. Prior to her illness, Mary worked for many years as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for different organizations in the Tucson area. Mary was an avid runner, and had a passion for cooking and shopping (specifically, at the yearly Tucson Gem and Mineral Show). Mary's family was also her devotion! Besides her immediate family, being the most special Mother, Grandmother, and Wife conceivable; she was the most loving Tia, Sister, Sister-In-Law, and FRIEND a person could have. Mary endured the loss of "HER YUM", Armand Salese, for two years and three months. Mary is survived by her children, Damian Salese (Ericka) and Davina Salese; four grandchildren, Maddox, Taylor, Desirae, Damian and siblings, Patricia Alvarez and Frank Alvarez. There are so many other family member worthy of mention, please know, she loved you all tremendously! The family will receive friends in celebration of Mary's life on Monday, July 20, 2015. A public Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 10:15 a.m., at FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL SOUTH LAWN, 5401 S. Park Ave., Tucson, Arizona 85706. A Rosary and Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, 1946 E. Lee St., Tucson, Arizona, 85719. Graveside Services will take place at 1:00 p.m. at South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 S. Park Ave., Tucson, Arizona 85706, followed immediately by a reception back at FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL SOUTH LAWN
