Mary June Grimsey

Mary J. Lyman Grimsey died on November 7th, 2025, in Tucson Arizona. She was born February 19, 1931 to Marlin J. and S. Elizabeth Lyman at Knapp Creek, N.Y. Married to Frederick A. Grimsey on March 10, 1951. Resident of Tucson, Arizona since 1981. She is survived by two daughters: Marlene G. (K. Wayne) Butler of Tucson, AZ, Susan E. (Derwin) Walters of Newfield, NY and 2 sons: Gordon A. (Lorena) Grimsey and Albert L. (Lisanne) Grimsey both of Tucson. Also surviving is one sister, Anna Beeles of Jacksonville, Arkansas. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Kristen Rumsey (Tim) Knauff, Brian (Gia) Rumsey, Jessica Butler (Michael) Spiegler, Mary Beth Butler (Ronny Foringer), Matthew Walters, Lisa Walters (Matt) Lott, Michael Grimsey (Janelle Warichek) , William (Liz Cordova) Grimsey, Alison Grimsey (Cyrus Moquin). Also 13 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, her parents, and 4 siblings: Pauline Malone, Mildred Wainman, Arthur Lyman, and Ethel Seaward. She was also predeceased by two daughters: Marjorie Rumsey Bonner and Jeanne E. Grimsey. Also predeceased by grandson Michael Walters.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, November 21st at 11 AM at Evergreen Cemetery in Tucson where burial will take place. Memorial donations made be made to Gospel Rescue Mission 4550 S Palo Verde Road Tucson AZ 85714.
