She was preceded in death by Bob, her husband of 62 years and grandson, Kevin. She is survived by her four children, Bob and Mary Ann Hopkins, Kenny and Barbara Ball, Charles Hopkins and Joann Hopkins. Mary is also survived by eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Mary was born in Philadelphia, PA, the eldest of three daughters, and grew up in South Jersey surrounded by her close-knit extended Italian family. After she and Bob married and started their family, they moved west settling in Tucson. Mary was known and loved for her excellent cooking and lovingly shared many meals with family and friends. If you had one invitation at Mary’s table, you were always looking for the next! Mary was very proud of her Italian heritage and passed along many family recipes and traditions to her children. But cooking wasn’t Mary’s only talent. She could garden, crochet, paint, needlepoint, work with ceramics and sew. Mary had a love for all things beautiful. She and Bob loved to travel, many times with siblings and friends. Mary was happiest though, when she was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A private family celebration of Mary’s life will be held.
