Mary K. Wolf, 87, went to be with her Lord on May 16, 2015, after a long, valiant battle with Alzheimer’s. Mary K. was born May 14, 1928, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to Vesper and Hazel Sheeley. She grew up in Emporia, Kansas and while attending Emporia State University met and married the love of her life, Harlan Wolf in 1947. They lived and raised their family in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, before moving to Phoenix in 1969. Mary K. was a loving and supportive wife and mother, being a daily example of wisdom, kindness, generosity, and humor. She always put her family as her highest priority, but always had time for friends and neighbors. She loved cooking, decorating, and playing bridge. Mary K. possessed a rare combination of beauty, grace, and dignity, yet was welcoming, young at heart, and strong-willed. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, brother, and beloved husband. She is survived by her loving children, son, Stephen, and daughter and son-in-law Suzanne and Raymond Palosaari; grandchildren Alexa Lang, Jason Wolf, Kristin Wilkinson, and Bethany Weaver; and great- grandchildren Hannah, Abigail, and Hazel. She is also survived by her nephews Dean, Tom, and Richard Sheeley, Alan and Jeff Russell, Mason Wolf, Jr., and niece Tenley Glad. The family wishes to give special thanks to the outstanding caregivers at Eternal Life Care Home for their amazing love and care. Thanks also to the staff at TMC Hospice. She will be fondly remembered and missed by all. A memorial service in her honor will be held at Calvary Chapel East Campus on Friday, May 22, at 10:00 am.
