Mary Rose Woodrum, age 83, went home to be with the Lord on December 2nd. Preceded in death by her loving husband John Robert (Woody) Woodrum Sr. and sister Adele. She is survived by her children and their spouses, John Robert/Maggie, Ann Marie/Leonard, Roy Anthony/Belen, Richard David/Cynthia and Tammy Lynn/Mark. Also survived by brothers Frank, Lewis, and sister Josephine; 17 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Mary was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Met and married her husband John while he was stationed in Albuquerque. While in the Air Force they lived in North Dakota, New Mexico, Delaware, Virginia and Arizona. Mary was employed at the Minot AFB flight line, Saint Mary's Hospital, Davis Monthan AFB and Hughes Aircraft before retiring. She stayed busy volunteering at the Veteran's Hospital in Tucson and later the hospital in Show Low, Arizona.
She loved quilting and made many beautiful quilts for her family members that will always be cherished. Her friends knew her as "Little Mary" and knew her by her smile. She loved making pasole and sharing it with her many friends at the Comanche Wells Community. Mom, your love was the bond that held your family together.
Thank you for being such a great example as a wife, mom, grandma and friend. We love you and will miss you greatly.
