Matt was a coworker and a friend.  Matt helped me deal with my own fight with cancer. He stayed postive with his fight with cancer. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and the rest of the family. Matt will be missed.

I was saddened to hear of Matt's passing.   I worked with Matt prior to retiring.  Matt was dedicated to his job and was always willing to help resolve problems.  My heart goes out to his wife and family.    So sorry for your loss.

Matt was an inspiration to everyone around him with his strength, passion, and kindness. I was fortunate enough to get to know and work with Matt for the past 2 years.  I quickly learned to listen to everything he said, as Matt always ended up being right and just gave me a smile when I told him he was correct. Matt had an amazing smile and unforgettable laughter, my condolences to the Chavez family, Matt will be truly missed.
