Mauro “Lefty” Cipriano Sosa Sr., born September 27, 1938, in San Angelo, TX, losing his battle with cancer, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2024. Served in the Navy and retired from the Merchant Marines after serving 28 years. He traveled around the world many times, exploring each stop he made and bartering for some of the many items he treasured. He enjoyed tasting the many cuisines that the world had to offer, ultimately settling on his favorite “Chinese”! He was an avid reader and loved the outdoors. Preceded in death by parents: Pete & Rosa, wife: Elizabeth, son: Mauro Jr., daughters: Rose and Pamela and grandson’s: Nicholas and Freddie Sosa. He is survived by his sisters: Patricia(Edgar) & Dolores Miralles, sons: Tommie(Rachael) Sosa, Michael Sosa, Joe Sosa & Joey(Betty) Credidio, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson along with many nieces and nephews who loved and adored him.
