Hey Tata, just wanted to let you know I’ve been thinking about you a lot lately. I miss you so much, I wish I can just pick up the phone and call you. I’m sorry for not being able to come see you like I should. I promise I am going to make time. 
    As I get older I’m realizing how much of an innocent soul you were. You faced so many obstacles but you always were a loving tata through it all. I miss your voice always telling me I need to behave or you just telling me about your day. I just miss having you around, your unconditional love. I regret any moment I didn’t spend with you, or telling you how much I appreciate you. The little things I should have said but didn’t. I’m so proud to have had the opportunity to call you my Tata, thank you for everything you did, every sacrifice you’ve made for me, and thank you for always being someone I can run to. I struggle to find ways to deal with the emptiness you left when you passed but i want you to know i am always grateful for the beauty of life you gave to me as well as my children. Hey Tata, from learning about the Korean War to occasionally coming across your pictures in my phone. I miss you dearly, as soon as you left everyone kinda isn’t the same, yeah I might not know anything and maybe they always fought as if everyone is against everyone but for my perspective it’s gotten worse. I miss you so much and I know last time I wrote I’ll never get over this and here I am. Still haven’t gotten over it. I just kinda pretend you’re still here, it helps me. The whole death process really hurts me and to think I’ll never get to ask you what happened, apologize, and even just talk is heartbreaking. I miss you and I wish I could talk to you. I hope your up there looking over us. Especially Shay when he is going through a lot right now. Help him please. You always knew what to do and it’s crazy. You where the only Mena family member I really knew and I still didn’t even know you that well. I never even thanked you for your service. I’m sorry Tata. I hope heaven is good up there and you see nana, can’t wait to join you one day❤️ Just reminding you everything I do with my life is for you, you’re honestly my only inspiration at this point, but it’s all I need. I am deeply sorry for your loss.  There is a possibility that I  am your brother from your father. 

I'm not really good with this kind of stuff. But I learned alot these past few weeks. Stuff that kills me inside to be honest. I always knew you took us in and did everything you could for us but I never really took it all in. How much you did not only for us but for EVERYONE. I dont know how but you managed to make everyone smile. And you had the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. But anyways I love you and I feel as if I didn't do enough to show you how much you meant to me. And you showed me love I've never felt. Made me feel like I had someone I could count on always. You fought for your country and was a hard worker. I wish I did more to show my appreciation. But I promise you. I'll make some thing of myself for you. It's just hard right now. Not a day has gone by where I dont cry, I just feel alone sometimes. And i dont know how everyone else handles this but I really don't think I'll ever get over it. I just hope you knew what I said to you at the hospital. I wish I could have one last conversation. But God wanted you home. And i hope I'll get to see you. I can't wait. You were my best friend. I remember when Dorothy died, I told you I would date you lol. We just had a fun time and you always found time for me. And everyone else. "A heart of gold" as I say. I love you Tata and I miss you every single day. I'm sorry for any pain I caused. I know you love me too. And we will meet again. Dad we often talked about this day and you bet i wouldn't even cry. Well for once you were wrong. I am heartbroken at your passing but i am also at peace knowing you are with mom.finally. No more suffering now you can just rest. You were such a hard working, honest man who did more than he ever had to for his family without question. Thank you for being the strong man that you were dad and always willing to help us through anything we went through. I am deeply  sad beyond words even when i think of how much im gonna miss you. I know  that we always were not the best kids but no matter what you always loved us unconditionally and never gave up on us even when we wanted to give up on ourselves. Dad you persevered through so much in.your life for not only your.life but but your blood as well. You gave anything for your kids.hrandkids. and great grandkids if needed. You always had a smile on your face and a good word for everyone.. I will miss your phone calls checking on all of us Bells.  I was looking forward to more visits with you when you told me you moved to Tucson.   I'm so glad to have visited with you one last time in August.  You will be missed.

I was so sad to hear that Uncle Max has passed.  I have a lot of good memories of him, he was a funny man.  He will be missed, I did talk to him several times and he sounded so good.  So, So sorry from my husband and I.
