When I met Myzella I recognized her sweet and quiet spirt which I admired.  I'm glad to have known her. 




Sis Myzella Dowdell and I received our Certificates of Excellence for Completion of our Deaconess Training on June 10, 2012, from Pastor Delmar A. White. 
Sis Dowdell you served well, and we thank you. We're grateful to God for sending you our way. Take your rest, we love you, but God loves you best. Rest my dear sister in the bosom of Jesus Christ. Amen

To the family - you are all in our prayers and we feel your grief.  
Myzella is a friend and I say to her, "Until we meet again" .  She was also a beloved Deaconess at Ninth Street Missionary Baptist Church.  Greatly missed but loved much much more.  We rejoice in the day that we will all see her again!

Our memories of the times we've spent together, I will hold them in my heart forever.

To my beautiful friend and sister in Christ.  Myzella you will be missed in our lives but I’m so thankful for the fond memories that we shared which I will forever hold in my heart. You and I joined 9th Street Baptist church on the same Sunday, we became members of the Deaconess ministry and we lived close by one another that we sometimes would take walks in the afternoons. I will forever remember your smile and beautiful spirit.  Rest now my friend  in the arms of Jesus.

Myzella was a member of the 1969 graduating class at Quitman County High School in Marks, MS.  We had the opportunity of renewing acquaintances with her at our 50th high school reunion over the Memorial Day weekend in May 2019. She was an active participant in the planning for the reunion.  She was always a positive influence and her beautiful smile could be felt even over the phone. She was truly a remarkable woman, who during her time of adversity, was a shining example of how to handle less than ideal physical circumstances.  We never knew that she was in the midst of a major battle. She  pushed through her trial with such dignity and strength, buttressed by her unyielding faith in God.  We should all take a lesson from her "life book" that exemplified  bravery and total dependence on God's mercy and grace. I will always remember that effervescent smile.


Jerry  so sorry about Myzella. She was such a beautiful woman inside and out.
