Nariman (Norman) Pishva born October 24, 1937 passed away on August 18, 2019 at Peppi’s Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. He was a kind man who cherished his family, God, and animals of all kind. He was born in Iran where he was the only boy in a family of 6 children. He often joked that it was his lot in life to be surrounded by women since he had 5 sisters, and then had two daughters and two granddaughters. He came to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona where he majored in Agricultural Studies. He spent his college summers at the pool on lifeguard duty. In his youth he traveled and loved to fly airplanes. He met the love of his life Judith Anne Martin at college. The marriage produced two daughters that he fiercely loved. He was very proud to call the United States his home and became a naturalized citizen. He loved America so much that he installed a flag pole and proudly displayed our flag. He was a hard working employee of Chevron for 34 years driving gasoline tanker trucks. He had a passion for flying, renovating houses and stamp collecting. However, his favorite pastime was going to the casino and playing poker with all his great friends. Norman enjoyed eating, and food was often a topic of conversation. He especially loved French fries, dried fruits and French desserts like éclairs and Napoleons. He liked the Benny Hill Show, tough guys like Clint Eastwood and Charles Bronson. He also enjoyed watching James Bond movies. He especially loved the Bond ladies and would talk about how beautiful they were. He adopted multiple stray cats and dogs over the years and gave them forever homes. For many years he drove everyday across town to feed a feral cat colony. He is survived by Judith Pishva, his daughters Sennuy Kaufman and Minou Pishva-Muncy. He is also survived by his son-in- laws Dr. Michael Kaufman and Todd Muncy, and his granddaughters Madeline and Sara Muncy. Additionally he is survived by his two sisters Nanda Pishva and Zoheida Sadri, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dogs Kino and Solana. You will be forever remembered and missed.
