Nicole Koch, passed away on June 23, 2022, at the age of 47, in Tucson, Arizona. Her battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed her courage in facing life challenges with the courage to fight. Nicole may have won the battle against cancer the post-treatment took a serious toll on her body; despite the pain, she stayed strong until the end. Nicole loved astronomy and star gazing she was very excited to see rare planetary events, Venus will never look the same to her friends and family who knew how brightly she shined. She will be greatly missed by many.
Born in Saigon, Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Operation Babylift there was a mass evacuation of children from South Vietnam to the United States. She was adopted by a United States family which had also adopted a Korean son. Donald Koch (deceased), Karen Koch (deceased), Kris Koch (deceased).
She attended Chatfield High School and continued her education at Pima Medical Institute where she graduated magna cum laude in the Dental Assistant program. She was a business owner where she and her spouse had a construction, remodeling, and fix-it company. She was a great artist, and her artwork has been at local events. She also was baptized a second time at West Bowles Community Church in Littleton, CO where she attended their Women's Ministry program. She was also an Ordained High Priestess/Minister where she spent her time healing, helping, and blessing friends, family, and strangers. She was well known for her generosity, kindness, and love.
Nicole leaves behind her spouse Isela Chavez of 10 years, her sister Noel Nguyen (Patrick Schmidt), her children Keyana Koch (Mitch Merrick), Malea Dolan (Sam Dolan), Dylan Koch (Kailey Merriott), Marcus Carroll, her grandchildren Kai Newgaard, Landon Dolan, Sterling Dolan, Bella Chavez.
Memorial Services will be Thursday, June 30, 2022, at South Lawn Cemetery 5401 S Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706 at 3:00 PM. After the memorial service, there will be a reception with food and beverages on-site. The memorial service will be live-streamed and available for later viewing. The family is requesting flowers sent to the funeral home. Any donations for the memorial service would be appreciated them.
