Patrick and Lisa O'Brien (Romero)

September 17, 2020

An Irish Blessing from Patrick and Lisa O'Brien (Romero).

Death is nothing at all.
It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Everything remains as it was.
The old life that we lived so fondly together
is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no sorrow in your tone.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that
we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effort
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was.
There is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because
I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval,
somewhere very near, just around the corner.
All is well. Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was before.
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting,
when we meet again.

Sending my deepest sympathy to Ofelia's family. I knew Ofelia through my best friend Christine Romero Alvarez. I will always remember the Shirley Temples she would make for us at the Bull Pin when she was staying in Hayden. Rest in Paradise Ofelia.

I want to start by saying how sorry we, Edith and I, are for your loss. Your mom, Nana, was one of the strongest woman, I have ever met. Gracious, sense of humor and always strait forward.
I am so sorry ( Leonard) we are not there, but we are with you all in prayer and spirit. Roy, Julie, Gina and your brother and sister, please know our deepest condolences go to each as well as the entire Gonzales family.

Cousins & family - Deeply sorry for your loss.
I can picture Tia Ofie's smile & facial expressions along with her laughter!
Strong, spunky, & workaholic she was!
Never giving up - Deeply admired her!
Just gotta love her! May Tia Ofie rest in peace.
Thoughts & Prayers are with you all,
Love you all,
Love Titi (Chris Romero Alvarez)
