

Paul Carl Crane 77, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025, after a long, courageous battle through illness. Paul was born in Morenci, AZ on February 24, 1948. He is preceded in death by his parents Paul Claire Crane and Glenna (Welker) Crane. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Darline Crane; three children together- Duane (Cynthia) Avery, of Pima, AZ, Debbie (Nathan) Miller of Pima, AZ, Michael (Dawn Shaw) Crane, of Safford, AZ; 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; sister Shirley Easley, of Dallas, TX, and a nephew. Paul would devote twenty years of his life to serving and defending his country. Paul served in both the Army and the Navy during the Vietnam War before retiring on September 1, 1989. Paul was one of a select few who would go on to be awarded the Good Conduct Medal from both the Army and the Navy. Upon retirement, Paul would work many jobs and make many friends along the way, many met while being a lifetime member of the VFW, most recently becoming affiliated with VFW 4903 in Tucson, AZ. Services will be determined at a later date as Paul’s ashes will be entombed at the Pima Cemetery in Pima, AZ.
