Paul graduated from Oshkosh High School and earned his BS in Economics from St. Norbert College in WI. He loved his county. Completed 13 month tour in Vietnam. Was commissioned an infantry second lieutenant in the US Army in 1968. Paul graduated from Army Aviation School and was assigned to Company D, 227th Aviation Battalion as a Huey Cobra helicopter pilot, flying gunships in Vietnam. Paul was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for “heroism above and beyond the call of duty in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service. In addition, Paul holds thirty Air Medals and the Bronze Star among other awards. He was honorably discharged as a decorated Captain.
After military service Paul Settled in Wisconsin, owned his business, administrating pension fund investments.
After retiring in 1999, moved to Tucson. Paul loved to cook, watched golf tournaments and war movies. He was a loyal fan of the Green Bay Packers. Paul never met a stranger, he stop and talked to anyone. He was a loving, gentle, caring, husband, loyal friend, loved his family. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife Lupe, sons Andrew (Kate), Andres (Veronica), grandchildren Sophia, Andres, Louie and Veronica. Paul was preceded in death by his father Raymond, mother Nelda and twin sister Pam.
