

Born March 12th, 1943 to Pepe and Mesi Mesi Matatogia in Utulei, American Samoa residing also in California, Hawai’i and Utah.
Preceded in death, by her eternal companion Leituala Taula, married February 14th, 1992 in the Jordan River Temple in South Jordan, UT.
Pepe was survived by her children Elizabeth (Pita) Petelo-Iuli, Robin (Theresa) Petelo, Rosie (Fa’avae) Petelo-Fa'avae, 13 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a brother.
Pepe attended Fa’asao School for Girls, Canon’s Business College earning high honors and UH-Leeward Community College. She was an educator in the Special Education and ESL departments, a master seamstress and her most prized accomplishment, a three-time LDS adult Mission, Samoa, Apia and New Zealand, Wellington. A devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, diligent and steadfast was her saintly service.
Her playful humor, spontaneity, strong will and quick wit will most definitely give you a chuckle for those who knew her. We’ll continue to pay homage to her “EXTRA”.
