Pete is survived by his wife, Cynthia Olivas married for 51 years; his daughter Celina (William) Lem; and his son Pedro Xavier Olivas; his brother Arthur Olivas, his sister Carmen (Rudolph) Lopez and his sister Lupe Cuestas; his grandson Adam Lem, his grandson Chris Lem and his granddaughter Yessenia Olivas.
Pete was preceded in death by his father Felix S. Olivas and his mother Marina R. Olivas; his brother Felix Olivas; his brother Santiago "Jimmy" Olivas; his sister Connie Robles; his sister Josefina Basurto and his sister Maria Elena Molina.
He was a hard worker and motivated others encouraging them to keep going, never to give up, and that by working hard you could achieve anything you set your mind to. He served our country and was enlisted in the United States Army. He worked for the City of Tucson water department for almost 30 years. He was an avid runner, a weight lifter, and enjoyed having "lively" discussions on a wide range of topics. He loved his birds, especially his peacocks, gardening, being outdoors, and above all spending time with his family.
Pete will be greatly missed and he will be remembered forever.
