Dear Peter's family and relatives:
On behalf of the Columbus Academy Class of 1975 I want to express my sorrow at learning of Peter's accident and passing. Peter and I were best friends for almost eleven years starting at age seven in second grade all the way through high school graduation. When Peter, Dr. Morse, Mrs. Morse, Kate and Amy moved to the "country" closer to where Webb Vorys and I lived, the three of us bicyled to school in good weather.  During colder months Peter hosted ice hockey games on the pond with two-by-four built goals surrounded by old tennis netting. We walked miles through the Ohio woods to each other's houses.  Later we shared car rides to and from school and in town parties with friends.  We hiked part of the A.T.together. And who can forget Peter's double bone spur heel sugery which led to two knee-high casts in the front row of our team soccer picture. After the Academy Peter studied at Evergreen in Washington State.  His love of the West led him to Tuscon while the rest of us settled in various parts of the country.

To Peter's kids;  Your Dad was both a solid friend to many and a caring individual who lived what he believed in. He thought more than he spoke and when he did speak it was only after thinking first.  We will miss him but also remember him fondly.

Dear Peter Morse Family:
I am trying not to write something already so accurately stated by both Steve and Jim, but it is difficult because I also considered Peter Morse to be one of my closest friends and confidants.  From an outsiders perspective,I am sure our relationship appeared just casual and not consistant, but I assure you the time we did spend in each other's company was quality time that I will never forget.  Only now I realize how I wish that I had spent more time with him while he blessed me and all of us with his presence.  He always had a different and unique prespective on things in each of our lives, and I will never forget his smiling face, sense of humor, and hardy laugh.  I echo Jim's comment regarding Peter's sense of pride for his children James, Lucus, and Gabriel, as he would always talk about you and your ongoing life and accomplishments.

I cannot put into words how much I miss my good friend, and struggle each day with the fact that his mortal being is no longer here with us.  However, there is comfort in knowing he is still here with each of us as captured in each of our fond memories and experiances we have with him.

I am confident Peter is in a much better place and existance now, but his spirit is alive and well in all that had the pleasure in knowing him.

I remain here for each of you in any capacity for assistance, continued friendship, hope, and prayer.

Dear Morse Family,
I consider myself lucky to have counted Peter as one of my good friends.  His fresh perspectives and great sense of humor made him someone that I truly enjoyed spending time with. I can also tell you, even though I have never met you, that he was very very proud of his children and the adults that you all had become.  I will truly miss him and still am coming to grips with the fact that he is no longer here.  Please let me know if I can be of assistance in any way.

Dear Morse Family,
There are few people in life that one counts as among their best friends. Peter is and will forever be one of those people. We helped each other through life's struggles and am so saddened at the loss of my friend. I do and will miss him greatly. If there is anything I may do to help any of you in this difficult time, please let me know.
