Ralph A Lemcke III

Ralph A Lemcke III MD, age 84, of Tucson passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2026, after his fight against cancer. Loving and devoted husband of 62 years to Patricia Lemcke (Hill); loving and cherished father to Jennifer Sorge (Bryan Sorge), Ralph Lemcke IV (Kimberly Olson) and Jeffrey Lemcke (Wendy Miller); adored and admired grandfather "Bapa" to Megan and Jessica Lemcke; Taylor Zorba, Alex Olson, and Carson Lemcke; and Caroline, Audrey, and Luke Sorge; devoted brother to Alexandra (Zan) Ransburg and the late Josephine (Dodie) Lemcke.

Ralph was passionate about being a dermatologist and caring for his patients. He worked until December 2025, after serving the Tucson community through his practice for 53 years. He earned his BS and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degrees from Indiana University. After medical school, Ralph built a life with his wife Pat, a nurse who he met at IU. They moved to Tucson, where Ralph served as a General Medical Officer at Davis Monthan Air Force Base for 2 years. After which, they relocated to Cleveland, Ohio, where he did his medical residency at Case Western Reserve University. The family then returned to Tucson where they put down roots with Ralph opening his dermatology practice in 1972.

Ralph was a truly dedicated family man whose greatest joy was spending time with his wife, kids & spouses, grandkids, and new great grandchild. He was affectionately known by his family as Bapa and Kib. He loved college basketball and had been an avid Arizona Wildcat fan since arriving in Tucson.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 1, at 11:00am at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 E. Grant Road, with a Committal Service to be held at 12:00pm, with a lunch reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Angel Charity for Children, a local Tucson charity that is dear to Ralph and Pat.
