He is survived by his wife Annette Ingman, brother Ellis Franklin Jr, daughter Tiffany (Mike) Johnson, granddaughter Tabitha Johnson, son Andrew (Terese) Franklin, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Ellis Franklin and Pauline (Patterson) Franklin.
Rick was a graduate of the University of Arizona (GO CATS!) in accounting. Rick worked for The Tucson Newspapers while in college and completed an MBA later in his career. He joined Tucson Electric Power in 1970 and retired as Director of Plant Accounting in 1997. He then joined Arizona Electric Power Coop in 2001, where he retired from the position of Cost and Tax Accounting Manager in 2014, but he continued as a consultant as needed. Rick was highly valued and respected in his field for over 50 years.
Services will be Friday, November 21, 2025, at noon at The East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ. Please bring a Ricky picture or a fun story for sharing.
