

Richard “Rick” Rosenthal, 77 of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025. Born in New York, Rick came to Tucson in the late 1960’s where he fell in love with its beauty and lifestyle. Rick built a legacy in Tucson as an entrepreneur, businessman, and real estate investor. He was a respected expert in Native American art and jewelry, dedicating his career to preserving and sharing its cultural significance. Beyond his professional pursuits, Rick had a passion for antique automobiles, finding joy in collecting and restoring classic cars. He loved life, he loved his friends, and he loved a good story.
In the early 1970’s Rick started Morning Star Traders, a native American Indian art gallery in Tucson. For more than 55 years it has supported the cultural southwest traditions of the native Americans along with carrying antiques from all over the world.
He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Beth Rosenthal and a large extended family.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 31st, at Saint Ambrose Parish, 330 Tucson Blvd., Tucson AZ. The rosary at 10:30am will be followed by an 11:00am mass.
The graveside ceremony will be at 1:30 pm at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Street, Tucson, AZ .
