Rita Mae Pierre

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ms. Rita Mae Pierre. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, she was the daughter of Eugene Mathews and Margarite Pierre. She was the youngest of four siblings Nace Jr., Nancy and Earnest Sr. She attended Alfred C. Priestley Junior High. She was a dedicated and hardworking woman who was passionate about her family and friends. She was an avid Bible reader and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a kind and generous soul who was always willing to lend a helping hand. She was a faithful member of Grace Temple Baptist Church. She will be deeply missed by her children, Anthony Sr., Titus, Barry Sr., and Natasha (Goddaughter); her grandchildren Ranisha, Amber, Brandi, JaTary, Anthony Jr., Anijah, Barry Jr., Ci'Bria, Caleb, Harmony, Kameron, and Olivia; and her many friends and relatives.

In Lieu of Flowers, Donations may be made to Grace Temple Baptist Church in her memory.

A funeral service for Rita will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Grace Temple Baptist Church, 1019 E 31st St., Tucson, AZ 85713. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712.
