Robert "Nipsey" Carlisle

He was born on August 21, 1947 in Birmingham, Alabama to Hosea Carlisle Sr. and Mrs. Flora Ross-Carlisle.

Robert met and married Michaelle - married for many years.

Robert lived a very accomplished life having served in the United States Armed Forces for 26 years. After retirement, he worked for Hamilton Aviation and Evergreen Aviation.

He was a member of Greater South Park C.O.G.I.C for several years.

He had a passion for bowling and was part of several bowling leagues. His love for sports didn't stop there; to know Robert was to know he was a huge Raiders fan and a diehard Alabama Crimson Tide fan. He loved the oldies but goodies specifically Motown music. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and you would never miss him without his bag of Tupperware for leftovers after every family function and party.

Robert is preceded in death by his wife Michaelle Carlisle and son Darrius Carlisle.

He is survived by his daughter Stephanie Carlisle; brother Charles (Millie) Carlisle; sisters Viola Prewit, Yolanda (Jay) Owens, Janice Craig; grandsons Patrick Carlisle, Izaac Carlisle, Brandon Carlisle, and granddaughter in law April Carlisle; great grandchildren Isaiah Carlisle and Azayleea Carlisle; beloved dogs Midnight and Phoenix.

A visitation for Robert will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706.

A graveside service will occur Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 1:00 PM at South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 S Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706.
