Robert Joseph Chaney

Robert Joseph Chaney, better known by his friends and family as Rob or Robby, passed away suddenly on December 30th, 2022. He leaves behind his father Bill Chaney and mother Lorraine Chaney. He is survived as well by his brothers and sister: Roger Chaney, Ryan Chaney, Chris Chaney, and Sara Alverson.

Robert was born on November 29, 1978 in Tucson Arizona, and was adopted by Bill Chaney soon after, along with his brother Roger Chaney. The family grew even more when Bill met and married Lorraine. Robert gained two more brothers and a sister. Robert attended and graduated from Cholla High School, where he made many friends and excelled in his classes.

Following graduation Robert became a licensed cosmetologist and barber. He was adored by all of his clients, and he adored them back. Robert was one of the fortunate ones, and was able to pursue his passion every day. He also loved to travel and just last summer visited Portugal for the first time with friends.

Robert looked towards his faith when he fell on hard times and he was able to turn his life around for the better. He adored and looked up to his father Bill. Bill was always there for Robert and got him through some of the hardest times in his life.

As we look back at Robert's life we will remember him as a kind, generous, and gentle soul, that will be missed dearly by everyone who knew him. Robert touched the lives of many people, and his family is grateful for all those who knew him and celebrate their memories of him during this tough time.

His funeral service will be held on January 14th, 2023 at 3pm, at the South Lawn Funeral Home.
