Robert De La Cruz passed away peacefully on March 18, 2015. He was born in Nogales, AZ raised in Tucson, AZ, He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Mercy Cruz. He leaves behind his six children Cindy (Ismael) Cota, Robert (Jenny) Cruz, Clarissa (Carlos) Durazo, Marcos (Celia) Cruz, Valentin and Armando Cruz. He is also survived by his mother Paula Cruz, his brothers Frank and Rudy Cruz, sisters Vicky Ortiz and Patricia Cruz. Robert has 20 grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father Francisco G. Cruz, daughter Debbie (Anaya) Cruz, granddaughter Deyvonne Yvette Perez and sister Margarita Escajeda. Robert served in the Air National Guard; he worked in the mining industry. Robert enjoyed gardening especially his chili plants, he would grow them in aluminum then he would go to the swap meet and sell them. Robert was always the life of the party he had a sarcastic sense of humor that everyone loved and remember. There was never a dull moment when you were with “Cruz “or “Six Pack” which many of his friends called him. He adored his grandchildren always joking with them. He will truly be missed.
