

Rose Antoinette Panno, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and wife, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on September 30, 1931, in Brooklyn , New York, Rose was the daughter of Giuseppe and Giuseppina Cinquemani, who owned and operated a neighborhood Italian grocery store.
Rose and her older brother, Salvador, grew up behind the family store, working alongside their parents from a young age and learning the values of hard work, family, and community. For a brief time, Rose's family moved to Sicily, reconnecting with their Italian roots, before eventually returning to Brooklyn, where Rose Continued to build her life. Her Brooklyn upbringing and Italian Heritage remained an important part of who she was throughout her life.
Rose attended Brooklyn College and built a career working at Macy's. On September 26,1954, she married the love of her life, Felix Panno. Together they raised two sons, Dominic and Phillip. Being a mother was Rose's absolute greatest joy. Known for her strength, directness and sharp wit, she instilled that same resilience in her boys, teaching them to always stand tall and hold their ground. She cherished her family dearly, frequently gathering them around the table to enjoy her traditional Italian cooking.
Later in life, Rose and Felix retired to Tucson, Arizona. She loved the desert, was proud to call Tucson home and spent her remaining years there.
Rose was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Felix; her son Phillip and her brother Salvador. She is survived by her son, Dominic; her four grandchildren; and her great-grandchild.
Rose will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her fierce strength and her proud Italian heritage. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
