Born in the Philadelphia, PA area, she moved to Tucson in 1948 where she met and married
James Stapleton in 1952. Ruth spent her time doing volunteer work. She was active with her family, in her church and particularly enjoyed volunteering at Peppi’s House Hospice.
Ruth enjoyed playing board games and cards, but her favorite activity was telling jokes.
She is survived by daughters Shirley (Brian) Pundt of Valencia, CA., Doris (Mickey) Rodriguez
of Sierra Madre, CA. and by five granddaughters, and a great grandson.
The family thanks the staff at El Rancho Encanto Assisted Living, TMC and Peppi’s House
Hospice for their attentive care in recent years.
Services will be held at East Lawn Palms Mortuary & Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Rd. at 2pm on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017.
