Samantha Jo Cravens

Samantha Jo Cravens, age 29, passed away on April 26, 2018. Samantha was born on April 20, 1989 in Tucson, Arizona. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University in Non-Profit Management. Samantha dedicated her life to The Boys and Girls Clubs of Tucson as a youth club member, a volunteer, the recipient of the Youth of the Year award, and most recently as a Community Fund Development Coordinator. She also spent five years as a Community Relations Coordinator with Our Family Services. Samantha’s greatest passion in life was helping others through her career, volunteer work, and service with the Tucson Breakfast Lions. Samantha served as the president of the former Panther Leo Club for three years during her time at Catalina High School. In 2016, Samantha was recognized by the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as a “40 Under 40” award recipient.

Samantha also found great joy in her loved ones, nature, and music. Samantha will be sadly missed by her devoted husband, Corey; her godparents, Veronika and Larry Blasek; the Cravens, Luther, and Stieg families; and her loving friends. Samantha was predeceased by her mother, Jenny Taylor. There will be a celebration of Samantha’s life on Tuesday, May 1 at 6:30 PM at The Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson-The Frank & Edith Morton Clubhouse- 3155 E. Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85716.
