Shirley was born in Phillipe, TN on December 24, 1936, a daughter of the late Fred Mac and Francis Jones. Shirley was married to the late George "Buddy" Marshall for 32 years before his passing in 1992. He was her one true love. She was educated in the local Memphis schools, and was a graduate of Holy Names High School. One of her favorite stories to tell was how Elvis would play in the band at their High School dances. For many years, Shirley worked for AT&T as a telephone operator. Her real love however was her family and so she spent most of her adult life as a devoted wife and mother. While living in Kingman, Shirley found great joy in working in her yard, visiting friends and playing the Nickle slots at the Casino's in Laughlin. One of Shirley's special gifts was cooking & baking and she loved to create wonderful meals for her family and friends. One of her most delicious recipes was Southern Cornbread Dressing and the most requested dessert was Lemon Icebox Pie. She also loved games and puzzles to keep her mind active, and was very fond of playing Rummikub with her family and friends. Although technology was not her thing, she loved to FaceTime with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Shirley will be greatly missed by her son, Keith and his wife Jennifer of Tucson, her two cherished grandchildren Justin and Keighley (Wimett), husband David and great grandson Noah. She will also be missed by family members and dear friends across the country and most recently at The Villas on Houghton, in Tucson, where she had resided for the last year. Private family services will be held at East Lawn Cemetery on Wednesday, November 14, 2018.
