Simon became my big brother, He looked out for me, protected me, laughed with me, fought with me, he would do the craziest things, he was wild, bold, funny, & most importantly family, he became family!  I have so many beautiful memories with him, from him getting me in trouble because he didn’t like the outfit I chose to wear, or randomly showing up to our house with a ball python snake and a rat , declaring it my new pet knowing I was terrified of them, or even simply just cheering me on and coaching me through Miguel’s rough housing hoping to help me one day win the Match. He was just there, always.  As we got older, life changed and eventually we lost touch. I’ll always hate that we did. Losing touch never meant I stopped loving you or caring about you. I just wish life had been gentler with you, Simon, and I wish we had gotten more time.
I’ll always remember you as my big brother and the person who was always looking out for me. I’m going to miss you, Simon. I hope you finally found the peace you deserved. 🤍

Simon was my little bonus brother. He may have started out as Miguel’s best friend, but somewhere along the way, he became family and not just family by association, but a true brother in every sense of the word.
Simon was reliable. He was a protector, a brother, and someone who was there through my ups and downs. He showed up, he cared, and his presence meant more to me and our family than I could ever fully put into words.

I will always remember how he was there when Erik was born. He took the title of “Uncle” seriously, and it was beautiful to see the love he had for him. Those memories will forever hold a special place in my heart.

I wish life had dealt Simon a better hand. I wish time didn’t move so quickly. I wish we had been given more time, more laughs, more conversations, and more memories together. There are so many moments I wish we could have had, and so many things I wish I could say.

But I am grateful for the memories we were given. I am grateful that Simon walked into our lives and became a part of our family. He will forever be my little brother, and I will always cherish the memories, the love, and the bond we shared.

You can rest now, Simon. May your soul finally find the peace you’ve been looking for. You deserve that peace.

My sons and daughters loved you as a brother, and you became a true part of our family. You were never just Alex’s friend. You were one of our own.

Life and destiny eventually took you and Alex down different paths, but they never changed the love our family had for you. No matter how many years passed or how far life took you, you were always remembered with love.

My heart breaks knowing that you are gone. I wish you had been given more time, more years, and more memories with all of us.
