

Socorro Turrubiates known as Coyo, died at the age of 57, in Tucson, AZ, on August 1, 2011. She was born on June 16, 1954, in Mexicali, Baja California. She was the daughter of Francisco Gonzales and Fransisca Dominguez-Suppo. She was married to David Javier Turrubiates, in Santa Cruz, Mexico, on December 1, 1973. She graduated from Pima High School in 1973, and went on to receive her Cosmetology license in 1978. She is survived by her husband, David Turrubiates; daughter, Briana Romero; son, David Turrubiates Jr.; mother, Fransisca Dominguez-Suppo; brother, Mario Gonzalez; grandchildren, Victoria Romero, Elaina Romero, Elizabeth Romero; nephew, Mario Gonzalez Jr. and nieces, Krystal Montes and Monique Gonzales. The Wake will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with 7:00 p.m. Rosary at FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL, 7 East University Boulevard. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine Cathedral, 192 South Stone Ave. Coyo lived life to its fullest. She loved to sing, dance and drink her Tecate. Each path she crossed she touched in her own unique and special way. The amazing wife and mother will be missed dearly!
