Terry Garcia Menchaca

Terry Garcia Menchaca, a hardworking, devoted women of God, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026 at the age of 88. Terry was the eldest of twelve children born to Antonio and Josephine Garcia on August 13, 1937 in Tucson, Arizona.

Terry always had an infectious smile on her face and found joy in life’s simple pleasures – dancing with her husband Ernie, cooking and singing songs with her brothers and sisters. She loved going to church and Women’s Bible Study, fellowshipping with her friends and making new ones. Above all, she treasured her relationship with God and her family, whom she loved fiercely and faithfully, always offering encouragement, prayer and unconditional love.

Terry married the love her life, Ernie R Menchaca Sr on December 22,1951. Together, they built a family grounded in love, faith and devotion.

Terry was proceeded in death by her husband Ernie, her parents, her daughter Mary and great-grandson Adrian.

She is lovingly survived by her children: Ernie Menchaca Jr. (Leonor), George Menchaca (Adela), Art Menchaca (Leticia), Bobby Menchaca (Maria), her daughter Cecilia Arbo (Paul) and her eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren who were the pride and joy of her life. As well as three brothers and five sisters.

A celebration of Life honoring Terry’s life will be held on Saturday, February 21,2026 at 10:00 am at The Door Church Tucson, located at 2950 E Irvington Rd. Tucson Arizona 85714
