Thelma was married to Richard Franklin Myers on September 22, 1952 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
She is preceded in death by both her parents, Richard (Dick) her husband; Diane Kay Trego, her oldest daughter; and Richard (Rick) Douglas Myers, her youngest son.
She has two surviving children, Garnet Lewis Myers, her oldest son; and Deborah Ellen Dieter, her youngest daughter.
She has 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was an active member of Country Club Church of Christ for 65 years, at which time she moved her membership to Marana Church of Christ for the last 4 years.
Thelma has many loves, her family, traveling with Dick in their converted Chevy van, exploring all but eight of the 50 states. She and Dick taught archery for many years to the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus during their summer camp on Mount Lemmon. She loved to hike, write stories about her adventures, and followed Dick to many of his Boy Scout outings. Probably most of all, she loved her Thanksgiving dinners every year, that she started planning and preparing for weeks before with all her family, and many that just needed a place to go.
Mom, grandma, great grandma (GG), sister in Christ and friend you will be so missed. There are no tears in heaven, no more pain and you can walk again, you can now rest in peace.
In lieu of flowers and cards, please donate to your church of choice so the word of God can continue to spread.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the lord with all your heart,
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
And he will make straight your path.
