Thomas Edward Butler

It is with heartfelt sadness that we share the passing of Dr. Thomas Edward Butler on May 23, 2026, at the age of eighty-nine.

For those who knew Tom personally and professionally you experienced his remarkable warmth, generosity, and genuine kindness. He was truly generous to a fault—always welcoming, thoughtful, compassionate, and sincerely interested in others. Tom loved life fully. He was an avid golfer, skier, artist, and someone who brought joy, laughter, and comfort wherever he went.

By profession, Tom was a highly respected orthodontist. His career spanned nearly 50 years, and he truly loved the work he did and the countless young lives and families he helped throughout his distinguished career. Tom took enormous pride in his profession and was exceptionally gifted at what he did, combining skill, compassion, patience, and kindness in caring for his patients.

Tom is survived by his wife of 31 years, Vickie; his children, Bill (Sue), Becky (Jim Vance), Tom Jr. (Larissa) and Mike (Ginger); twelve grandchildren, Becky (Matthew), Christopher (Teresita), Michael, Brennen, Tommy III, Hailey (Sean), Matthew, Meghan, Tori, Ben, James, Abby, and great-grandchildren, Alanna and Carter. His family brought tremendous joy to Tom’s heart. He was preceded in death by his stepson, Jason and his first wife and good friend, Barbara.
