Timothy George Froebe
November 25, 1959 – September 4, 2019
Colonel Timothy Froebe United States Marine Corps (Ret) 59, of Tucson, AZ died September 4, 2019. Tim served 34 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and 24 years with the Tucson Police Department. Tim was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Tim graduated from the University of Arizona. He was survived by his wife, Karen Mattull-Froebe, his four children, Taylor (Kate) Froebe, Cameron Froebe (Dylan Klingensmith), Parker Froebe, and Paige Froebe; six grandchildren; four siblings Pamela (Alex) Banachowski, Kathy (Peter) McNabb-Klingman, Melinda Franz, and Douglas Froebe; two brothers-in-law William (Rachael) Mattull, Robert (Kristin) Mattull and many nieces and nephews. Tim was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Mary Jane Froebe.
Tim’s passions were running, traveling with his wife to Coronado, CA, and having his children and grandchildren at home where he would make large family dinners and be silly Pop-Pop for his grandkids.
Tim was an avid Oakland Raiders fan and he especially enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle on annual trips across the country.
On Friday, September 20, 2019 a Mass and celebration of life will be held at 10:00am at St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 5150 N Valley View Rd, Tucson, AZ. Following the Mass, a gravesite burial will be held at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 E Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ.
