Tony Eugene Roberts

Our beloved Tony passed on February 11, 2025 at the age of 89. He battled Alzheimer’s disease with dignity, grace and humor, thanking each caregiver up until his very last days.

Tony was born in Cade, Oklahoma to AJ and Virgie Roberts. The family later welcomed two more boys: David and Bobby. During WWII, his family moved to California, then on to Parkdale and Cascade Locks, Oregon, where Tony graduated from high school. He was accepted into the Power Operator program with the Bonneville Power Administration at Bonneville Dam. He had a long and satisfying career before retiring from the Douglas County PUD in East Wenatchee, WA as Chief Power Dispatcher.

Tony is survived by his daughter Andrea Boes (Lynn), sons Mitch Roberts (Lorie) and Mike Roberts, along with grandchildren Matt Lorrain and Elliot Roberts. Additional family include a multitude of cousins, nieces and nephews.

In 2017 he moved to sunny Tucson, AZ to fulfill his dream of being a self-described Desert Rat. He loved all things Southwest.

Tony will be buried at 11:30 on May 3 at Idlewilde Cemetery in Hood River, OR. A Celebration of Life at Hood River Inn will follow.
