Valery N. Ivanov, 90, passed away on Aug 30, 2022 after his health deteriorated over the last several months. He had a fruitful life that took him through many historical junctures. While he lived and travelled in many regions across former Soviet Union, he spent most of his life in St. Petersburg, Russia where he studied, met his wife Zina, raised with her two sons, and had a satisfying and successful career in electronic engineering, before moving to Tucson, AZ just over twenty years ago. He thoroughly enjoyed his life with Zina in Tucson and he credited the dry heat of Arizona with improving his health and allowing independent living until the age of 90 years old.
Valery is survived by his wife Zina, two sons Vadim and Misha and four grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at East Lawn Mortuary on Sept 9 at 2pm. His family will be present to welcome loved ones. The service will be followed by burial of his cremated remains at 3pm.
