September 9, 1948 – August 10, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Vicki Jo (Amy) Pessin. She left us peacefully on August 10, 2025 after an 8 year journey with Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 76.
Vicki was born on September 9, 1948 in New Albany, Indiana to Oscar and Helen Amy. When Vicki was 7 years old, she moved to Tucson, Arizona with her parents, sister Patricia, and brother Mark. Vicki graduated from Rincon High School in 1966.
Just a short time after graduation, Vicki met the love of her life, David Pessin. They married on August 5, 1967. David and Vicki shared 58 wonderful years together. During that time they welcomed 3 children: Stacy, Ty (Megan), and Brian (Amelia) and 8 grandchildren: Bobby, Brooke, Brandon, Conner, Emma, Jamison, Hudson, and Greyson into their loving family.
Although Vicki’s most cherished role was as wife, mother, and grandmother, she took great joy in her 36 years as an Avon Representative. She connected with a variety of people along the way, many of whom became lifelong friends.
Vicki’s legacy is one of compassion, strength and love. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was predeceased by her parents, Oscar and Helen, sister Patricia, brother Mark, daughter Stacy, and grandson Jamison.
Those who knew Vicki will remember her as a woman who touched countless lives with her generosity of spirit, her gentle heart, and her ability to make anyone feel at home.
A celebration of Vicki’s life will be held on Sunday, August 24th from 2pm-5pm at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Tucson Paloma Village on Skyline and Campbell, 3110 E. Skyline Dr., Tucson, AZ 85718. This is an open house style gathering. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Desert Southwest Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
