VICTOR E. WESTMORELAND, 73, born in Vivian, Louisiana, graduated to heaven November 16, 2016 in Tucson, Arizona. Remaining is his wife of 36 years, Charlotte Westmoreland, his two stepsons, Rich Brazzel and Rob Brazzel, and two sisters, Linda Burnham and Susan Lapointe. He is also survived by his many friends in Shreveport, Louisiana, Tucson, Arizona and Lake City, Colorado. Victor had a personality that would light up a room and was a Godly and much-loved man. Early in life he served in the U.S Army as a truck driver. He would continue a driving career, driving for a dairy company for 25 years and after that he drove a school bus for 5 years. He was also the owner of Speedy’s Duck Blind Café in Shreveport, where fun and fellowship were served as well as food. Victor loved almost any flavor of ice cream, but vanilla and strawberry were his favorites. Victor enjoyed traveling and was a great photographer. He was an excellent sound operator and helped in the sound department at different Assemblies of God Churches, where Charlotte was a pianist. They enjoyed scuba diving until Victor introduced Colorado to his wife in 1983. Then they spent every available moment jeeping through the San Juan Mountains. In 2008 they retired and after extensive motorhome travels, made Lake City their summer home, where ATVing and playing cards with friends were top priorities. His sense of humor , bright smile and friendly laughter will certainly be missed. A memorial service will be held to honor his life with us at Cactus Community Church, 1600 W.
