Victoria Clotilda Angelica Young-Chiverton, 67, passed away peacefully on May 3rd 2026 surrounded by loving family. Victoria, born in Rye, New York, was raised in Kensington, New Hampshire where she fostered lifelong friendships and spent her days riding her pony Molly. She was a Graduate of Tilton School, Clark College, and finally the University of New Hampshire where she earned a master’s in early childhood education.
Victoria had a passion to nurture, educate, and guide children and families of all backgrounds in both preschools and non-profit agencies. She continued to spread this gift to others as she taught the next generation of early childhood educators at Central Arizona College, where she advanced the early childhood program, served as a faculty senate president, and was awarded the honor of faculty emeritus. Additionally, she helped ensure the quality of early childhood education nationally by serving on the National Association for the Education of Young Children as both a peer reviewer and president.
Victoria was a strong, ever evolving, individual. A loving mother, wife, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, she is lovingly remembered by her husband Chuck, son Luke and her daughter-in-law Tatum. She loved the outdoors, from exploring the Scottish Highlands, climbing the presidential travers of the White Mountains in New Hampshire, and embracing the wildlife of the Sonoran Desert. She was a lover of animals, an avid rock climber in her youth, a holder of a karate blackbelt, a loving cook, a massage therapist who volunteered her time to care for oncology patients, a tailor of Halloween costumes, and the creator of the best birthday cakes. She has been so much to so many people, words lack the capacity to describe her.
Victoria requested we remember her for who she was and the legacy she left.
So, as Victoria is remembered by loved harry potter books and homemade pasta piled high on fiesta ware. In orange crowned rockhopper penguins and eggplants, in buzzing, jewel-toned hummingbirds and wildfires brought by lightning, smelling of rain. We ask that in her memory you take a breath with your loved ones and cook a meal together. Enjoy too much bourbon and pecan pie. Spend extra time with the children. Hold on to it all, truly savor the wealth of being with those you love.
And, above all, be kind to one another.
