

Together they have a Son, Michael Eugene Snyder of Albuquerque NM, a daughter, Glenys Diane Snyder (Leong) of Tucson and two grandchildren, with one great-grandchild soon to arrive.
He was proceeded by his mother Edith L. Snyder and brother Ernest Lamar Snyder.
Ward was born on a farm near Phillipsburg Missouri on 11 January 1930 to Edith Lee Snyder during the beginnings of the great depression and entered the Kansas City Mennonite Children’s home in 1935 with his brother Ernest, where Ward remained until 1941 when he was taken to be raised by Joel Yoder, a Mennonite farmer in Kalona Iowa, under the “Fresh Air Program”
Ward joined the US Army in 1951 and served until 1954, returning to Iowa to pursue a career as mechanic for Ruan Trucking in Iowa City. Later as a mechanic in Wellman Iowa for John Deere and Buckwalter Chevrolet and then Eichelberger Chevrolet of Kalona Iowa.
Ward reunited with his brother Ernest (Retired Navy) living in Chula Vista California and moved the family there in 1963. Continuing as a mechanic for several independent garages and a Plymouth dealership, he retired with the vehicle maintenance shop for the City of Chula Vista, Calif.
After spending several years in Fairfield Calif, Ward and Fraynia moved to Tucson AZ in 1983 where they remained.
