I'm so sorry to hear of Bill's passing.  I lost my husband Jerry on May 27th of this year.  He and Bill were in the Marines together.  I'd really like to speak with you when you have a free moment if that is alright.  Jerry had a very rare form of cancer as did another Marine, Terry Mick, who passed away in 2008...these men were way too young to have suffered from it.  Please give me a call if you would...my sincerest condolences to you and your family.

I am sad to hear of Bill's passing. He was a leader and a wise mentor to many of us in the Tucson Labor Movement. He left a legacy in all of us who he touched. He will be greatly missed. My condolences and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time.

Laura and Family, I am sorrowed to read of Bill's passing. I enjoyed working with him on Union matters at ASARCO and through the AFL-CIO. The Union movement was better with Bill participating in it. I am out of town and can not get back for the service, my thoughts will be there with you.

Bill Turner (IBEW)

Bill was the lead guitarist for the Cut-Offs, our 4-man band together with Chip Harrington, Stan Washburn and I.   We rocked Palo Verde H.S. after games and played other gigs including Cal Rubin City, El Conquistador [the old hotel] or the Hi-Ho Club, one of our favorites.  There was one Saturday we had been practicing when we were at his grandmother's place off of Tanque Verde and Sabino Canyon Rd., we were really hungry and decided to have a summer late afternoon party, fixing some 10 or 12 dozen tacos, with Spanish rice and refried beans.  The boys eat it all !  Bill will be missed, but we all have great memories.  I wish Bill's family and close friends, my condolences for their loss.

Bill was a special person in my life and taught me to play my first guitar in the early 60s. The first member of the CutOffs to leave the stage. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

 My Deepest sympathy is sent to the whole family! He's Resting in Gods Kingdom Now! God Bless you all during this hard time.
