Travis Singleton served proudly in the United States Navy as a Radarman Third Class during WWII in the Pacific Theater. Just prior to Travis’ honorable discharge from the US Navy, June 17, 1946 he and Oneta Beth Clendennen married. They just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on March 28th, 2016, shortly after Travis’ 90th birthday. The two of them together conquered many trials and tribulations; shared a lot of fun and a lot of work; raised three children during their lifetime together; Ricky “Rick” Travis Singleton (Nicki), Marla Kay Morton (deceased), Cheri Lee Singleton-Kiefer (Dennis).
Travis’ grandchildren, Laura Marie Singleton, Camille Marletta Singleton-Burgess, Joseph Timothy Morton (Rita), Don William Johnson, Travis Matthew Singleton (Christina) and Anthony Royal Kiefer, all think of their grandpa fondly, with memories of the things he loved best; horseback riding, hunting, shooting, camping, working on Ford vehicles and story telling.
Travis is also survived by eight great grandchildren; Roxanne Christine Kruse, Marley Rain Kruse, Tucker Lynn Burgess and Ethan Hunter, Joshua Colton and Elyssa Brooke Singleton, Cody Joe Morton and Amanda Ray Federico and one great, great grandchild, Hunter Sebastian Federico.
