Ygnacio O. Ybarra

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, at the South Lawn Funeral Home, 5401 South Park Avenue, Tucson, Arizona, with rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, June 19, at St. John's Evangelist Catholic Church, 602 West Ajo Way, Tucson, Arizona. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.

Raymond was born in Tucson, Arizona, on July 10, 1926. He was a veteran of WWII serving from 1943-1947. He worked for 30 years as a law enforcement officer. Raymond was married to Sarah Hernandez on January 2, 1949.

Raymond is survived by Sarah Ybarra, his three children, Edward, Margie, and Fred, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernestina Oros and Ignacio Ybarra, his sister, Evelina Sambrano, and his brother, Anthony Ybarra.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Sarah Ybarra fund, 442 West Iowa Street, Tucson, Arizona 85706, to help defray expenses incurred during Raymond's long illness. The Ybarra family wishes to thank the wonderful nurses and doctors at the VA Hospital who cared for Raymond during his illness.
