was born on June 1, 1967 at Tucson Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona.
He was born to his parents, Zachary Forbes Jones and Leila Paulette Guidry Jones.
Zachary is survived both his parents and only child, Zachary L. Jones Jr.
He took exceptional pride whenever and to all when speaking out and talking about his son always pointing out the fact that it was he who cut the umbilical cord at birth. This bonding experience defined and stayed with him always. Many times, he forgot to share this immense pride with those people he cared about. He was human with faults, and positive traits and a decent heart toward any and all.
In addition, those left to mourn for him are uncles, aunts and a host of cousins everywhere, and many life-long friendships.
He is preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, an uncle and his beloved cousin, Tywona. He was loved. He was human. He loved.
His love of music began with saxophone practice sessions with his paternal grandfather, musician, Herbert Horace Jones, aka, "Mr. Clean".
Enjoying the beauty of Mount Lemon, over the top and especially down the backside of the mountain -adventures, he thoroughly enjoyed in his 4-wheel truck. Later he was introduced would discover water tubing, an experience he often fondly relived.
Complications of his OJI, (On Job Injury), coupled and overshadowed with Covid restrictions, which prevented surgeries, the lack of adequate pain relief originating over two (2) years from the inception of the injuries, his only alternative relief of self-medication ultimately created and caused more harm than any short-term realized benefit.
He suffered since 4/19/19.
His body gave up, finally.
These complications and suffering gave way the early morning hours of July 16, 2021.
A private memorial and celebration of his life will be coordinated and held in the near future.
