She passed away peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospital in Olympia, 16 days before her 96th birthday.
Louise led a life of service. After retiring from many years working as a school cook for North Thurston School District, she volunteered for the Meals on Wheels program. There, she spent countless hours cooking and delivering meals to seniors who had difficulty accessing nutritious food. Louise also took friends and acquaintances to medical appointments and the grocery store until she was no longer able to drive.
In addition to her quick wit, twinkling eyes, big smile, and even bigger heart, she was known for her cooking skills, especially her cookie baking skills. Every year, she gave countless dozens of cookies to anyone who came to her door and donated even more to church bake sales. She was very active in the Lacey Community Church, where she was loved and respected by all the members.
Louise is survived by her two children, Steven Evans and Diana Frederickson, four grandchildren, Douglas Evans, Brad Frederickson, Chad Frederickson, and Erin Frederickson, and a great grandchild, Hanna Frederickson. She was preceded in death by her loving husband George.
She will be missed greatly by all those who knew her. Rest In Peace
