Angelo was born July 30, 1955 to Mrs. Betty Joe Donald-Lewis and the Rev. Whitfield Lewis. To this union six children were born, with Angelo being the oldest. Angelo became a born again Christian in 2003 at the Miracle Faith Tabernacle of Praise Church, under the leadership of Pastors Terrence and Georgia Batts. There he served faithfully until 2006.
Only July 30, 2017 he joined in fellowship with Galilee Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Steven Lee Sr. There Angelo was ordained an Elder August 13,2017 serving faithfully until the Lord called him home on July 28, 2020.
Angelo was joined in holy matrimony to Carol Jean Lewis on December 22, 1977, to this union 2 children were born. Tamika and Angelo Jr. Two precious grandchildren Baby Keith and Lisa, the joy of his heart.
Leaving to cherish his memory are three brothers; Virgil and Author of Chicago, Illinois and Larry of Indianapolis, Indiana, two sisters; Judy of Indiana and Bernice of Mississippi, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and friends.
Angelo Served in the United States Army for twenty (20) years, retiring in April 1995 after which he became a long haul truck driver for ten (10) years. After that a local truck driver for twelve (12) years until retiring.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cartoons, Loony Tunes and his favorite was the "Tasmanian Devil" cartoon. He loved his family and friends and every where he went he never met a stranger.
Angelo loved the Lord, and he loved ministry. Becoming a minister was his dream. He served wherever he was faithfully. He was very serious about the tasks he undertook.
Angelo will be greatly missed by those of us who knew him. His "sayings" and humor will forever be in our hearts.
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his Saints. Ps. 116:15
