Arlene Beverly Charbono

Arlene passed away in her home surrounded by loved ones on November 29, 2012. She was born to Ethel (Monroe) and Merle Earhart in Delia, KS on January 23, 1933. She lived and was educated in Colorado and Missouri. Arlene married Paul Charbono on April 23, 1963. Having lived in various states, they settled in Olympia in 1979 where she worked as an instructional assistant in special education for the NTSD from 1979 to 1995. A member of Sacred Heart Church, Arlene taught religious education for several years. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren, cooking, sewing, and attending rodeos. Arlene was a loving mother and sister, and is survived by her 6 children, Lee (Corinna) of Lawrenceburg, KY, Diane (James) of Rhoadesville, VA, Michael (Ann) of Mt. Ephriam, NJ, Cheryl, Paula (Matt), and Brenda (Chris) of Olympia, brother Richard of Independence, MO, sister Gale of Stronghurst, IL and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her 13 grandchildren, Jamie, Tina, Mike, David, Krystal, Caleb, Matt, Sean, Rita, Tammy, Ryan, Laura, and Rebecca, and her 9 great-grandchildren. Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Paul (2006), brother, Phillip (1996), dad (1983), and mom (1945). Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 6 at St. Michael Church in Olympia with a mass at Noon, followed by a reception.
