Audree Durward

Adrianne (Audree) Cornelia Durward 87,died peacefully on Wednesday June 23, 2021 at Grays Harbor Health and Rehabilitation in Aberdeen Washington. She was born May 20, 1934 to Gerrit and Cornelia DeKoter in Maurice, Iowa. She was one of seven children who all preceded her in death.

Audree was first married to Derreill Singer and had 4 children. Albert Dean, Ronald Gene, Brenda Lee and Pamela Kay. Dean (1979) and Ron(2013) preceded her in death.

In 1971 she married Richard Durward who was the love of her life. He also preceded her in death in 2010.

As a young woman, Audree was first employed at an overall factory in Iowa. After moving to Washington she was an oyster shucker for several years. Then she was a bookkeeper for their motorcycle business, Capital Honda.

Audree was a gifted quilter and left behind many quilts for her family to cherish. Audree also enjoyed going to any casino within her travels. She was adventurous and traveled by motorcycle with Richard to the East coast and thru Canada. And made multiple trips to Alaska in their RV. But above all her family was the most important thing to her.

She is survived by 2 daughters Brenda (Tom) Cruickshank, Pam(Mike) Reeves and 2 stepchildren, Rich (Gay)Durward and Lynda Mehrer. She had 8 grandchildren:

Misty, Michael and Alisha

Frank, Kelli, Evie, Garrett and Jim.

And multiple great grandchildren.

Her family and friends can take comfort in knowing she is having a great reunion in Heaven and enjoying that fantastic casino in the sky.
