Betty Anne Lucas passed away surrounded by the love of her family on March 12, 2019 in Olympia, WA. She was born on May 1, 1940 to William and Anne Eastbury in rural Langley, WA. She married Robert Lucas on June 17, 1978 in Brookings, SD.
She is survived by her children Sharon Aller (Larry Skewis) of Olympia, Ron Clark of Olympia and Shauna Minshaw of Rocky Mountain, NC, her brothers David (Doris) Eastbury of Stanwood, Harold Eastbury of Arlington and sister Judy (Jon) Suta of Mount Vernon. She leaves behind 10 grandkids and numerous great grandchildren.
She’s was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Rick Clark and daughter Sandy Westwood. After working as a Circulation Manager at the Skagit Valley Harold she went on to be a successful restaurant and antique store owner in Beresford, SD.
Betty was not one to sit idle, she spent her retirement playing bingo and bunco, gardening, baking, traveling the world and pulling pranks on family and friends. Ornery until her last day, she did things her way and lived life on her terms. Never one to complain, when asked how she was doing she would always say “I’m great.”
She will be dearly missed and loved by those she leaves behind.

Betty was like another mom to me. Growing up in Burlington and having Ron as my best friend, I spent a lot of time over at the house on Fairhaven Avenue. You couldn’t pull one over on her-she’d zing you good. (I think she was in cahoots with my mom...)
She always made me feel welcome. I’ll miss her sense of humor-I can still hear her laughing.
