Victor married the love of his life, Virginia and together they celebrated 62 loving years of marriage before she passed. After living a short time in Tacoma, Victor and Virginia moved their family to Lacey. After retiring they spent 10 years in Lake Havasu, Arizona, first as snowbirds, then full time prior to returning to Lacey.
Victor spent years as an auditor for the State of Washington and retired from the Department of Retirement Systems after 30 years of state service.
Victor was an avid sports fan for both college and professional sports, especially baseball, football and hockey. As a youth he played on an ice hockey team. His hobbies included: deep sea charter fishing for salmon and bottom fish, smelt fishing, which he loved to smoke, gardening, canning, playing cards and dice games with family and friends and spending time at their cabin at Maggie Lake and Hood Canal.
Victor and Virginia loved to travel in both the United States as well as around the world their entire married life.
Victor was preceded in death by his wife Virginia, parents Frank and Julia, brother Frank, sister Betty, grandson Aaron and their favorite dog Princess.
Victor is survived by his son Victor Marlin (Debie), daughters Claudia Fredericks Eveland, Shellie Carpenter (Russ), and Terri Stabnow (Rick), 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
